– Christmas Markets in Salzburg:
The pealing of countless church bells reminds us that Christmas is near, and the Salzburg Christmas markets will fill you with warmth as you look out to the city’s snow-covered roofs, domes and towers.
It is the season for a romantic walk across the city’s hilltops, affording a breathtaking view of the city. After descending back down to town, the merry bustle of the Salzburg Christmas market touches all. The smell of punch and toasted almonds, hot roasted chestnuts and freshly baked apples envelopes your nose, and the vendors’ gingerbread hearts, nativity figures, Christmas tree ornaments, toys and snug knitwear are irresistible.
Not bad, but not my favorite. There were complications, but I was rather pleased with the flexibility of the team and the understanding. There were also complications with the drivers for some reasons I didn\’t fully understand, but the Uniflucht guide was always doing her best and smiling and trying to help everyone have the most fun they could. Basically, the times scheduled were late, pushing everything back, but it didn\’t bother me because there isn\’t much to do on Sundays anyway. (maybe next time include a statement of whether we can visit the salt mines or not, check if we have enough time and such so the travelers don\’t cause too many complications. We are usually predictable.) I trust Uniflucht is a solid, honest traveling group that I can trust and will continue booking with.
